Experience
Autolane — Capstone Project (UC Berkeley M.Eng.)
Sep 2026 – Present
- Working with Autolane, an autonomous-delivery startup, to improve its dispatching algorithm for automated deliveries and deploy it to multiple operators.
Deep Tech Innovation Lab — Course Project (UC Berkeley)
Fall 2026 – Present
- Assessing the commercial potential of thermodynamic computing, a research-stage technology, with Stephen Whitelam (Berkeley Lab).
- Interviewed 30+ professors, investors, chip companies and robotics and sensing companies to find niche markets where the technology could win first.
- Evaluated markets with TAM/SAM/SOM, jobs-to-be-done, Porter's Five Forces and technology-readiness analysis.
Southern Taiwan University of Technology — Backend & Systems Engineer (Contract)
Apr 2026 – Jun 2026
- Converted a grip-strength training game for elderly-care homes from single-player to multiplayer, building the Go game server and the Unity (C#) networking for its custom grip-sensing controller.
- Designed a nurse-free flow for elderly residents: QR-code login that identifies each player, then a single "Start game" button.
- Sole engineer; set up CI/CD that runs tests and deploys automatically to containers on GCP, then handed the system over to the next engineer.
Uni-President Enterprises Corp. — Software Engineer & Consultant (Contract)
Feb 2026 – Apr 2026
- Consulted with a 30-person finance team that had no technical background on a full-day monthly reporting process, working within company rules that banned AI tools and required all data to stay local.
- Reverse-engineered extraction rules for 40 different Excel report layouts and built a TypeScript/Electron app that produces the final report in one click, saving ~1 working day per month; still in use.
- Advised against a ground-up database rebuild in favour of step-by-step automation on top of their existing Excel workflow, avoiding a long build and retraining for staff.
Embodied AI Lab
Sep 2025 – Jan 2026
Advisor: Prof. Tsung-Wei Ke
- Surveyed research on 3D pose estimation, 3D scene generation and robot safety (keeping robots from damaging people, objects or themselves).
- Presented findings at weekly lab meetings.
Confidential Fintech Startup — AI & Backend Engineer (Contract)
Aug 2025 – Feb 2026
- Sole engineer on a Python/Django stock-analysis pipeline covering ~7,000 stocks across decades of market history; cut a full run from ~1 month to 3 days (~10x) with parallel, batched NumPy processing and far fewer database calls, meeting a hard client deadline.
- Extended the existing analysis code instead of rewriting it, keeping already-validated results intact for a 10-person company that uses the output to choose which stocks to recommend.
- Built the backend for an AI chatbot connecting clients and internal teams to any LLM via API, with n8n automations linking LINE and Google Sheets, logging and categorising every message and AI action in Postgres (self-hosted Supabase).
Lead of Teaching — Google Developer Group in NTU
Sep 2024 – Jun 2025
- Designed and taught a course for 30 students on building AI apps with Flutter (frontend) and Python (backend).
- Students shipped 5 working apps, including a calorie calculator, a dating app and a finance analysis app.
- Hosted 2 talks from a Google Developer Expert and an AWS Solutions Architect.
NTU HCI Lab
Feb 2024 – May 2025
Advisor: Prof. Mike Y. Chen
- Co-authored HeadTurner (CHI 2025), a device that assists head and shoulder movement for comfortable VR/MR viewing while lying down.
- Implemented the EMG analysis, ran the user studies and wrote the related-work section of the paper.
Tutor — Math & Programming
Jun 2025 – Present
- Tutored 7 students in math (high school – college) and programming (Python, C++, algorithms).
Teaching Assistant — Computer System Lab
Feb 2024 – Jun 2024
- Taught 60 students software & hardware solutions using OpenCV, circuit design, Arduino, Unity, etc.
- Held weekly office hours for the final project, a self-driving car; every team delivered a working car.
- Awarded Excellent Teaching Assistant by the department, based on student ratings.
Manager — CSIE Make Reality Space
Sep 2023 – Jun 2025
- Launched the space's first workshops (4 workshops, 60+ students), turning a little-known room into one students now regularly use to build their own projects.
- Helped CSIE students use 3D printers, laser cutters and VR headsets, and maintained the equipment with a team of 7.
Projects
BlueRobins Newsletter — LAUNCH-A-THON 2026, Winning Team
Oct 2026
- Built a newsletter editor in 2 days with a team of 3 for the startup BlueRobins, after listening to their goals of reaching new customers and keeping current ones.
- Next.js app with modular section cards in their brand design, email-safe HTML sent through SendGrid, and an MCP server so Claude can draft an issue straight into the editor.
